This position involves building financial ecommerce applications and/or multi-tier architectures to be deployed in top-tier investment banks. We require Senior Level Java and J2EE skills along with financial application experience, specifically trading or risk systems.

The ideal candidate will have following skills:

Java:
• Minimum 5 years experience with Java required.
• Strong server programming abilities required.
• Advanced working knowledge of JVM, Threading, Networking and Collections

J2EE:
• Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) using a production EJB server such as BEA WebLogic Server or IBM WebSphere required.
• Extensive JDBC and JMS
• Web development skills including JSP and Servlets
Clustering, fail-over, installation, configuration and deployment

Architecture:
• multi-tier architecture and production Internet architectures required.

Databases:
Experience with Oracle or preferably Sybase is required.

High Performance & Distributed Computing:
• Advanced knowledge of distributed computing topics and high availability a plus

Modeling:
• Agile, RAD and / or experience using the Rational Rose required.

Operating Systems:
• Experience with both Solaris and Windows is preferred.  

Domain Expertise:
• Experience with trading or risk systems is required.
